With the upcoming 2021 Overwatch League season ahead, Florida Mayhem put together a revitalised roster ready to contend for the title.
Florida Mayhem’s 80’s Miami vice inspired theme was the inspiration for the visual style we’d be applying to this piece.
And what’s more 80s than the Disco? We matched the players on the team with their signature hero and role on the roster and made them the start of the show, rocking up as VIPs to an 80s disco.
With a clear vision for the style of illustration we were going for, we pieced together a storyboard and got to work. Animations and music tied up the piece before it was ready to reveal to the Overwatch world!
