The New York Franchise of the Overwatch League had put together a phenomenally talented all-Korean roster for the inaugural season. The challenge? They’d never been to New York and we needed to forge a relationship with the home crowd. Brimming with personality and their own personal stories, we created Origins. A series that humanised the players on the team by sharing their raw, truthful personal story with the world.
We created an intro that took the viewer through New York and peppered it with personal photos of the player in focus. Each video was tastefully shot with a selection of carefully picked B-Roll. praised by the entire community. It became one of the most watched series in the Overwatch League and created a connection with the players that put down the groundwork for a player-fan relationship that endures to this day.
